You don't need to go to school. In fact, most top agencies won't even look at you if you say you went to modeling school because they feel the schools teach too many bad poses and walks that are impossible to un-teach
Pay could be anywhere from $10/hour for a promotional job, to $350 for appearing in a magazine, to $1000 for a fashion show to $50,000 if you are well known and get a Gucci ad. It could be up to $1 million if you are Gisele modeling for VS.
The average working model makes about $15,000/year through modeling jobs. The majority of models need to have other jobs to be able to pay their rent

Okayy well I did modeling when I was like 11 and it depends. If you do a commerical you get paid like every time its aired which is a lot of money. If you be an extra in a movie you only get like $75 and I'm not so sure about ads. I didn't go to school for it, I just went to a talent agent. For me though, I HATED it. Its really boring bc theres a lot of people (well in NYC) and you just wait and wait and wait then theres like judges that ask you like a couple questions then you leave. (If your trying out for like an ad) It sucked for me

There are modeling schools, many of them out in Cali. Most small time model gigs will give a commission ranging from a few hundred to maybe a couple grand. When models get managers down the road they tend to land bigger deals with higher people.
I have a few questions about models. how much are they paid? stuff like that?
