There are many personality tests. The trick is to answer consistently throughout the test. Many of these tests will ask the same question but word it differently and people either don't pay attention and quickly answer or others don't catch that they are asking a similar question and answer it differently. Typically you should strongly agree or strongly disagree for questions but make if it is a question about do you work better alone or in a team environment you would answer in the middle (both). Questions such as "I dislike performing repetitive tasks" strongly disagree. "I don't get along with all of my co-workers" Strongly disagree. Use common sense in terms of what they want to hear. Even if the question says everyone lies or steals or fakes reason for absenteeism at one point in time at their job, strongly disagree.

I use to be military and would get paid the 1st and the 15th. Now I'm getting paid biweekly and I don't understand how I get an extra check.
I get paid on Mondays so my next check would be June 1st-Rent due, June- 15th other bills, June 29- Rent due, July 13- other bills, July 27, Rent Due. SO it doesn't seem like I'm getting an extra check.

hi - you used to get paid 24 times a year, twice a month, roughly every 15 days.

now you get paid every two weeks, there are 52 weeks in a year, so you get paid 26 times a year, hence you get what some call "2 extra checks" a year. many people put those checks into savings, or make an extra mortgage paymentwith them.

As for the form 3911, the IRS will trace the refund. If it wasn't cashed, they will reissue it. If it was cashed, they will send you a copy with forms to fill out if you believe the signature was forged.

The from the state saying that the refund was more than you were expecting and has already been cashed is more troubling. That would suggest the copy of the return you have isn't the one that was filed. Ask the state to give you a copy.

PS, if the money was stolen, why do you care what happens to the person who stole it? (Other than to hope they are sent to prison for a long time, of course.) Not wanting to get someone in trouble is often construed that you know who has the money....

It isn't a fee. It's a cost of borrowing money. If you don't borrow money, or don't carry a balance from month to month then you don't pay it. Some cards do have an annual fee where even if you don't use the card at all you have to pay the bank money to keep your account. What it means is if you carried the same balance for a year that's how much more you'd owe in percent after that time. So an APR of 10 % on $5000 means you'd pay $500 in interest. You don't need to go to school. In fact, most top agencies won't even look at you if you say you went to modeling school because they feel the schools teach too many bad poses and walks that are impossible to un-teach

Okayy well I did modeling when I was like 11 and it depends. If you do a commerical you get paid like every time its aired which is a lot of money. If you be an extra in a movie you only get like $75 and I'm not so sure about ads. I didn't go to school for it, I just went to a talent agent. For me though, I HATED it. There are lots of different careers in HR. You can stay general and do all the different parts or you can specialize in a certain area. Larger companies have bigger HR departments. However, that depends what you count as HR. Some companies include payroll but in others it is a part of finance. We have 2 people in the HR department for a company of 300 people. The most important thing is getting your foot in the door. You normally have to start in a clerk type job and then work your way up. Eduction is always a bonus but experience is more important.

You can actually do some research on the area you're going to go into and find out what people do the most in that area and cater to them. You'd want to be unique though - like another Chinese restaurant when there's already 10 isn't so good unless you can offer s/t they don't like Rock'n Roll won-tons or s/t. Secondly, PROMOTE - This part of your business expense should be planned out across the next 2 years (and done more importantly than ANYTHING ELSE), as promoting or lack of is THE REASON such a high % of businesses close after only 1 year! Your method works much better than the spray. If I were to hire someone and their primary duty is to remove the weeds from my flower beds, I would expect that and only that.

Unfortunately, not many people hire someone to just pull weeds. This job is usually involved with bed preparation for planting including amending the soil, fertilizing and planting. Have you considered including these duties in addition to pulling weeds? Perhaps by combining these duties, you would have many more clients -- just a suggestion.

hello - good luck - that's alot of money to make - but i also take reasonably good photographs and i put them on paper and make note cards out of them. they sell for anywhere from $1.50 to $4 each depending on where they are being sold. my pictures are of all different types of things and all different seasons. i print them and then glue them to paper. i have a stamp on the back with my contact info for people who want more as well, and i get alot of resale. i have been told its because the photographs are good, but also because the price is so reasonable. the start up costs for this are not all that low, as you need to buy good paper and envelopes, but it might work for you, and you could start now as well. (the ones i sell directly to people I sell for $1.75 each, they cost about .20 to make each) good luck -

It depends on a few things; where you went to school, what you went to school for, where you are located, and what other jobs are paying in the job/field that you are currently working in.

If you're bringing home $600 a week, that is $2400 a month. If you were to move out and live on your own - you would (depending on where you live) probably spend about $1000 to $1500 for rent; and, that might even include utilities. If on top of that, you still pay the $500 in bills, you would be spending either $1500 or $2000 a month. Then, you have anywhere from $400 to $900 dollars left over to put towards, gas, food, and savings (if that hasn't already been figured in)

Yes, your job could be a lot worse; but for now you have something that seems like it is working out pretty well for you. If you honestly don't like it, then keep this job and look for something that pays better, but don't ever leave it until you know you have something better.

Keep investing in your 401K, but make sure you are in stable value bond funds.
The market may go down another 15 to 20%.
Some people tolerate that - I'm not one of them.

If you have a mortgage, invest in your home.
Pay off as much as you can.
By paying off your house, your kids can almost get a free ride to college - since financial aid does not look at asset amounts.
After you pay off your mortgage (a good investment for your retirement), then you can invest in a ROTH or deductible IRA.
Too many people out there are telling you to do the ROTH, when you have a mortgage.

Okay, how old are you at this point, and how much does your company match? One thing that is coming in at this point is called a Roth 401k, which incorporates the company matching from a traditional 401k, but also allows you to put in taxed money, which will grow without a tax liability(which is awesome!). If you want to move into something like a Roth IRA, set up an account with an online trading company(TD Ameritrade is one that I use), and take a look at the screening section. I'm a big fan of ETF's(Exchange traded funds). They basically are comprised of a set of companies with a common goal or theme, they function like a fixed mutual fund, but have lower maintenance fees, and give you diversification for the price of one trade. If you're under 30 I would recommend 80-90% stocks, 10-20% municipal bonds(can get these in an ETF form as well, Muni bonds are great because you get good dividends as well as the div's being tax exempt).

Last point: make sure you sign up for DRIP(as long as its free, with TD Ameritrade it is), which is a Dividend Reinvestment Plan, this way they just roll your Dividends back into those companies without paying a trade commission.

I was fired for being late at my on-call job. I wasn't given a written warning, and my boss didn't even offer to pay me out that day (which is supposed to happen if you're fired). There are people at my job that have been late 6+ times and are still working, and I was fired without warning for being late one day.

You got fired for cause, for being late, so you don't have any "rights". Are you in the US? If so, you were most likely an employee at will, so even if you hadn't been late they could just fire you. What someone else does or doesn't get away with has no effect on your situation. Maybe the boss thinks they are better employees. And in the US there is no requirement to "pay out the day", just to pay you for the hours you actually worked. And it's not wrongful termination.

You can file for unemployment. If the employer fights it, you might not get it.

Okay, so the deal with Bank of America(BAC), is that you probably already know investing in Banks right now is pretty speculative(I lost my shirt on Wamu not all that long ago when they filed), so be aware. Also, if you're going to buy in, be sure that you want to hold for a while, as the prices are still very volatile.

If I wanted to get in on this, I would set a Buy Limit Order for however many shares you want, and set the price at 10.75, it's hovering around 11 right now, so I think you'll probably have an opportunity to get it, but if you want to take a chance on making more money, set it at 10.50, but it might not dip that low. The dividend is alright, only about 4cents per share, and they fundamentals are alright. Also remember though, that they needed to come up with serious funds in response to the "stress test" from about a week and a half ago.

The other pro is that they're number one in their market segment, so that's always a good thing.

k I had changed my name in court because I always hated it and I couldn't live with it, the judge granted my request. He gave me a name change certificate. So I've updated everything to my new name.

I have my name change certificate, and I also have my old passport that was canceled by the U.S. government and they gave me a new passport in my new name. I kept my old passport because its proof of my birth name.

I don't want to overwhelm my employer. So how can I tell them of the name change in the most professional and classy way that I can?

I interviewed with this one place about 6 months ago, and when I told them about the name change and showed them my name change certificate the interviewer was a bit weird about it. But I mean like if I wanted to hide then I wouldn't have told him right?

I also just recently had my name changed, and it was strictly to cut all ties with my biological father, but most people handle it just fine. Actually, I've never met anyone who hasnt. Some people seem a bit confused by the fact that my name changed, and it wasn't due to adoption or marriage, but hey? things happen! lol I would just be honest, tell them that you had a legal name change, and that you have all documents necessary and you are willing to hand them over (or make copies) for them. The name change should come up on the job application--as in, if they check your background, they will need to know that before , say, 2005, you went by Karen and now you go by Steve.

Unfortunately, if this involves gender reassignment, you will always have a terrible time.

What i would do is maybe type up a short but professional looking letter explaining that you had changed your name and put down what name you had before and maybe attach this letter to any resume or job application you turn in. I was just paid $180. but I didn't count the money. But I know there was a receipt on top (saying how much they paid me)> i just put it in my wallet. When I got in my car, I counted it. It looked like I was $50 short. The money looked like this: their receipt, 4x20, 1x50. Then there was another receipt under, for gas, which I had put in days ago! So I'm missing $50!

But it's quite far from the money I just received. under that gas receipt, there were 2x$20, and then the $50 was under that. so i'm pretty sure it was there all along. what are the chances that i really received the full $180 but one of the 50s got put behind another thin, small receipt & 2 used 20s? when i put in money, i grab it firmly, open my wallet & put it in the available space in the front. i find it hard to believe that a 50 could wedge itself in like that. none of the bills were crisp.

I don't think you can do anything now. But it won't happen in the future if you count it out in front of them and then smile and say thanks, that's perfect (or conversely, this doesn't seem correct). Now, it is the same sort of situation as going back into a shop after you have left and saying the change wasn't right. You simply can't prove it unless you checked it before you moved away from the till.

Look on it as a useful lesson. Take nothing for granted. It might have happened once, but it won't happen again. You are alert now.

You can go in and ask the cashier to reconcile their cash drawer to see if it balances. They may or may not be able to do this. If they do and they balance, you are out of luck and they won't believe you. If they reconcile the cash drawer and it is over by $50, you'll get the money.

I started financing a hyndai accent through chrysler financial in October 2008. I have paid on this loan every month since we started financing this vehicle. After Chrysler announced that they were filing bankruptcy we are still receiving our statements through Chrysler. Do I still have to pay this bill? If I do, what makes me entitled to pay this because in a small business bankruptcy, a client that received services doesn't necessarily have to pay the small business filing the bankruptcy (example used, a family member's business filed bankruptcy and was forced to close the doors). Why would another creditor or business want to take debt for the probable risk of losing more money, especially in this economy. Is there a way to get out of paying this possible debt or have the loan amount and payments lowered? Are there any perks in this situation?

Yes, you will still owe the money, though it may eventually be to someone other than Chrysler. When a company goes bankrupt, any money owed to them is considered an "asset", which can be used to pay off their creditors. Let's say Chrysler owes Bank ABC a bunch of money, then goes bankrupt. Either Bank ABC will then become the "owner" of your loan, and you will finish paying the loan to Bank ABC, or Bank XYZ will buy the loan from Chrysler, and the money will go to Bank ABC or another creditor as part of the bankruptcy. In the latter case, you would make your payments to Bank XYZ.

It can really save you a lot of running around to just get a car loan price on the web to verify what the going rates are. You might be totally suprised. Also if your credit is not so great, a lot of online loaners are more willing to help you.

Yes. Somebody somewhere will own the debt, no matter what happens. You will owe them. There is no free lunch.

For example, I have a Washington Mutual MasterCard. WaMu went bankrupt and was taken over by Chase. I still had to make my payments, except now I make them to Chase. Nothing changed.

Chrysler is restructuring, and even if they weren't what makes you think you are entitled to stop making payments on your car?

You are missing two things:

(1) You are not receiving a continuing service from chrysler; you received a product from chrysler -- a loan. They gave you cash in exchange for a promise from you to make regular payments. YOU have the service relationship -- to THEM.

(2) You debt is their asset. It is the judges responsibility to see that all assets are properly divided among the creditors of Chrysler. Your debt will be sold at a discount to a third party (in point of fact, it probably already has been and your loan is not actually a part of the bankruptcy proceeding). The discount added across thousands of similar loans should ensure a profit to the buyer (or they are an idiot).

At 32, I was recently laid off and am now working full-time as self-employed freelancer. I can tell you, from 15 years of tried-and-failed experiments, one thing I've learned for sure: Find something you enjoy. Then go from there. You'll figure out a way to make money with it...

but you need the job to pay your bills and to pay for your college? I'm trying to make the best of it. I tell myself I'm making money and its giving me an opportunity to build work history.

I used to go from job to job but now I'm trying to stick it out to build work history so I can get a job in my field after I graduate from college.

Because better jobs like to check with the HR department at your old job to see if you really worked there so that is why I'm trying to stick it out.

Your logic is sound. Stick it out for as long as you can. HR departments look for gaps in your employment history.
There's no reason you can't start looking for a better job now though...Just don't quit one until you have another one lined up.
Remember, nothing lasts forever, (the old , 'this too shall pass' line), you can do this. Be patient and strong. It will pay off in the end.

I am currently working here and was wondering what is involved and how much it would cost to import a car from the UAE to the UK. I have already been on the DVLA website but it doesn’t tell you much. I am not worried about the car being left handed as it is high end model which I am going to keep back in the UK when I return as a second car. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
