Can Bank1 take money from new checking acct from Bank2?

have been unemployed for over 1 year, and behind on all credit cards. I signed up with Consumer Credit Conseling Service, the first withdrawal by them and payments to all creditor was to be today Nov. 3rd. I got my first full paycheck on Nov. 1st, I just started working one month ago. The bank, who will remain nameless, took my entire paycheck $1,900.00 with a withdrawal from my checking account. I have no money for food, house payment, or car payment. I have a personal loan with the bank, am behind $2,000.00, and I told them I was using a debt management plan to pay them back. No letter, no phone call, nothing, they just wiped out my checking account, and left $1.00.

MY QUESTION IS: If I set up a new direct depost for my paycheck with another bank, called Bank2, can Bank1 take the remaining amount that I am behind on their credit card account from my new bank, Bank2? I was told that I am referenced by social security number in the banking computer system for outstanding debt to any banking institution. Is this true? Bank1 obviously does not want to work with me and get their payments through CCCS.

stop direct deposit.and try joining a credit union.you could cash your check at walmart, for a small fee, and then get a prepaid debit card and put on what you like.I dont know about the ss comp. system sorry. just offering another option for you for now

Well they wont be able to take the money out of a new bank account if it's not with them. But yes other banks will be able to tell if you are behind with another. Also a company doesn't have to work with an outside company to get there payment and not all company's will.

If you go to a different bank the first bank cannot take your money. I would assume that since you are dealing with one of those credit card companies your credit is screwed anyway. Maybe they told you different but they would not be able to work on your behalf unless you were late on your bills. So no, the second bank will not take money out of your other acct, but it will go on your credit history which is probably screwed by now so who cares. Go to a different bank, and tell them when they call that you have no money because of the economy.
