:) What if the kid is a racist? ha

Okay I've never really babysat or been watched by a babysitter, BUT I've known a lot of girls to do that. 1) Parents ALWAYS want a mature girl. There are tons of girls who want to babysit at your age, but they're only going to leave their kids with the most mature. 2) To be honest, I can't think of any parents who would just call up a random person that they don't know before. Your best bet is to not do a "service", but just ask your parent's friends or have your parents ask for you. If you go to church or something like that, ask some families there. 3) The kids are going to be spoiled. It's not so much a matter of that, as a matter of whether you can get them to like you. They'll always try to get over on you, but if they like you, the kids will eventually do what you say.

Just ask yourself if adults like you. Like when you go out in public, are older people smiling directly at you, do they look you in the eye, do they talk to you with respect like you're an adult? If adults like you then go for it. If not, you probably won't have much luck. Good luck with the jod thing. Nobody really hires that young, until 16, and even then not usually. Apply at Chick-Fil-A. They've hired 15 year olds before. Also, a really fun job is refereeing for the YMCA. I did it when I was 14. It was a Saturday job. I did soccer and basketball and I got to work with kids. The only other time I had to do something, was every other Thursday they made me paint the soccer fields! (Paint the lines with the machine thing) Good luck

*Ps- My first job was at a Subway a family member owned in a Chicago mall. I was 13 and it was just for a summer. I was afwul. So he didn't want me to come back. ha

1. Your parents aren't going to let you babysit at a stranger's house. That would be irresponsible of them. Meet people through your church.
2. Right. Do what we all do . . . deal with it.
3. You probably aren't ready to babysit.
4. At your age, most parents would be more interested in having you as a mother's helper.

5. By the hour, a dog poo scooping service will make you a LOT more money than babysitting. 10 minutes a yard, once a week, charge $10 a cleaning . . . do 8 houses, and you'll have $80 that you can probably do in four hours or less. It's a nasty job . . . so it will pay really well. AND, once you get it going, you can hire OTHER KIDS to do the dirty work, at $10 an hour, and you keep the other $10. THAT'S entrepeneurship!
