Help i took out a loan havent had cash yet. i signed the agreement and sent it back and they are now saying?

i cant have the amount i asked for. can they do this ? its with the black horse. thanks

Seems like poor customer services, but yes they can do it as the agreement is not legal until both parties have signed (ie the agreement is 'executed'). If with black horse, am I right in saying this was for a car or via a motor dealer - if yes, in normal scheme of things after you sign, documents are then sent to their office where someone signs (the agreement becomes legal) and they post a copy to you. If this hasn't happened, then not yet a legal agreement

Yes they can. They have obviously decided that the new amount requested added to the amount of the loan you already have is beyond your ability to pay. Anyway, if you already have one loan live it is not a great idea to take out another one! It indicates that you living beyond your means.

Did you sign an agreement stating the amount or was it hedged in terms that the loan was provisional on credit checks?
