In what I read on the government (UK) website it said that there will be assets - non essential things - but not things like clothes, tools for work...
What will be used then?

Your car could go (although if you need it for work/commuting you do have the right to some means of transport: if your partner has a car then thats it) your electrical goods (not fridge, white goods) furniture (but not your bed)....basically anything deemed not essential (your fridge might not go but the alcohol inside is fair game for a bailiff if he thinks it worth enough) so all your dvds and PS3 games say could/would go. Bear in mind that your creditors are trying to minimise their loss so anything saleable will go, BUT it depends! In many cases it simply isn't worthwhile sending blokes with a van to inventorise and pick it up: and thats assuming they get into your home. (If you own your own home they might force a sale of that too)
Simply put, what creditors want is expensive cars, caravans, top notch electrical goods, iPods etc etc....things that can be quickly sold for cash. Usually, possessons are a drop in the ocean to what people owe which is why they are often left alone. It depends also if someone has been spending heavily right up to when they go bankrupt, and what the circumstances of bankruptcy are.
