How many exemptions would I list for my tax form?

I am single with no children. I do not wish for any additional money to be taken out of my paycheck. Just normal taxes. Do I have one exemption (for myself)..or none if I dont want extra money taken out?
Thanks!

You mean withholding allowances, not exemptions. You claim withholding allowances on Form W-4 at work. You are entitled to one exemption on your tax return -- for yourself.

If you are OK with the chance of a small debt when you file (typically less than $100) claim Single + 2 allowances. If you absolutely cannot tolerate a small debt at filing time, claim Single + 1 allowance.

You probably should claim single-2.

Read the instructions, and that's what you'll get.
1 allowance for yourself since nobody else can claim you as a dependent, plus 1 allowance since you're single with only 1 job.

That should result in a small refund or owing a nominal amount. If you want a little more security that you won't owe, then put single 1 but it will reduce your paychecks a little.

you file your W-4 as you are legally entitled to do
single and only one job, file single, 2(if you follow each of the questions on the form)
