For high school math assignment, we have been asked to figure out what our lives will be like financially after we graduate from college.
If I make $30,000 a year, and I live in Pennsylvania, how much money will I get per paycheck after taxes and such?
Taxes will probably be about 25%, not sure exacly as i dont live in PA. But you will take home about 22,500 a year then. If you get paid every other week, which is pretty standard, you will get about $865 per pay check.
Here is a great site for teens that are interested in making money. I set my 13 year old niece up and she is expecting her first check this month. Now, I will admit it's not going to get you rich, but for a teen that's looking to get some extra cash each month it's a great site

quick math based on experience with average deductions (medical, SS, etc) I'd say about $800/pay max. you'd take home (net)
