I applied for a new job, help?

I have been working at the same job for about 2 yrs and i really want to leave now. So yesterday (May 21) i went to apply somewhere else & when i handed my application to the hiring manager we kind of had a brief interview. I really want this job, its full time & pays me more than what im currently making. She seemed really nice and said that she would send me a personality test to my email and then review it then she will call me on tues because she won't be back to work until then. I havent received the test yet & im so worried because it's really a dream job for me at this point. Did she mean she will send it tues? I wish i would of asked her when!!....If i dont receive it should i call her on tues and let her know? am i overreacting?

Don't freak first of all, just breath, I know its hard because you want this so badly, but call her Wens, if she doesn't call you tuesdays. Keep in mind, employers have so much to do that they may forget, so stay calm, try to think of something else =)

I would give her a call Wednesday morning if you haven't received it by then. She may have just forgot to send it to you, it happens a lot. Since she's getting back in the office Tuesday she may remember then, but I wouldn't bother her the day she gets back because she'll probably be busy enough as it is. Good luck!!

Everyone else is saying to call Wednesday.
But you want this job and it's always good to let them see that! They'll see that you're a go getter and, where anyone else would "call on Wednesday", you called ahead! HOWEVER! Remember, there's a difference between "motivated" and "desperate". You don't want to appear too desperate for the job!

I would call her personal assistant/ secretary and ask them if they know when you were supposed to receive the test. If she puts you on the phone with the supervisor (person who interviewed you) just apologize for calling at an inopportune time, and explain that you didn't quite understand what she meant.

I would only do this once however, if you get no info out of it, the main point is to show that you were concerned enough about the job to actually call before hand, or more than necessary. THEN I would call on Wednesday if you don't hear back from them. =]

Just remember, if you want something you have to go get it! People will admire your drive and enthusiasm and see that you're one step ahead of the others.
Best wishes!
