Is Pay Pal safe and what happens when someone sends you a payment?

I am trying to sell things on craigslist and someone whats to buy a Nintendo 64 and she said she paid with pay pal, i received an email with the confirmation but it the email seems like i could have been made by someone( i looks too simple and not secure enough), then i got another email saying that the money wont show up in my account till i ship the item ( i would be shipping it to Nigeria). do you think i am trying to get ripped off?


i wasn't sure if it was some person trying to hack into pay pal so i logged on pay pal and deleted my bank info.


does pay pal notify you when someone sends you a payment? and what are their steps?

its gouing to be a scam 9999999.999% of the time
tell the seller you only deal with US customers
or tell them you had a better offer or tell them US customs wont
allow you ship that item etc
