... Hun, we can't pick out your career for you. We don't even know you. And if you don't know the difference between interior design and architecture, you have a LOT more researching to do before you settle on a career!
Interior Design falls under two categories-- residential (homes) and commercial (hotels, nursing homes, hospitals, banks, stores, office buildings, etc.). Interior designers do not do much to the structure of a building (other than maybe moving a door, raising a ceiling, or knocking out walls). Their main focus is on improving the aesthetics and functionality of a room. They choose colors, furnishings, wall coverings, window coverings, art, floor coverings, lighting, etc. 42 (I think 42...) states in the US require that interior designers be licensed. In order to be licensed, you must to go an accredited 4 year college or a technical college, have a certain number of work experience hours, and apply for licensure. In your college courses, you would learn how to draw to scale by hand as well as with computer programs such as CAD. You learn about art, textiles, furniture, how to sew, chemistry, and all the basic classes that everyone takes (like math, history, English, second language, etc.)
An architect (usually) must attend college AND graduate school. Architects work with blueprints and plan buildings. An architect would build the building that an interior designer would decorate. It is much more involved and you work closely with contractors, lawyers, investors, and city council.
However, I know a girl who graduated last year (2008) and was immediately hired by realty group in town to use CAD to design homes for a new subdivision. She was an interior designer with a bachelors degree, not an architect with a masters degree. And let's just say she was able to pay off her student loans in one year and then have money for a new car....

Interior Design is when you have spacial perception and can transform any residential or business into whatever the customer wants. You draw what it will look like and the customer gives you their okay. Just watch some home design shows and I think you will like this alot.
Interior Architecture is when you actually design blueprints for the rooms inside of a bui'ding or house. This is for other people to build based upon what you have in mind. Once again you deal with the customer.
Architecture is when you design blueprints for the entire building or house structure. The blueprints tell a person what it will look like before it is made. Once again you deal with the customer.
