Mailing a letter to a Credit Bureau?

I have sent out a letter to one of my debt collectors to verify a debt according to the federal laws, They sent me a letter saying that its going to take 60 days and now that has past and they have not proved anything to me or sent anything to me, I want to mail out a letter to the credit bureaus but I can not find a address to mail them a letter so they can remove them from my credit report.Does any body know what a good address is?

go to each website: Equifax, Transunion, Experian and click on their Contact or Contact Us links. There should be an address on there.
Or get a free credit report through www.annualcreditreport.com and the contact information will be at the bottom of each report

Also, hopefully you have sent out all of your letters/mail certified to prove that they arrived.

First step...slow down. You are already making mistakes.

Credit Bureaus do NOT validate debts. The creditor/collection agency does.

The only think you can do with credit bureaus is dispute your debt. You MUST send them a simple letter disputing the listing, and list the reason it is not accurate.

ALSO, you MUST send the collection agency a "demand to validate" letter. Don't get crazy, because legally they are not required to validate anything. But at a minimum they should send you a copy of the final bill, a copy of the contract, and an accounting of how they calculated exactly what they claim you owe. Without this basic information, how can they even get in court?

Send all letters certified mail/return receipt. The credit bureau is required to investigate your dispute and notify you with 30 days of their findings. Do not be surprised if all you get is a letter stating that they verified the debt and it is accurate.

Go to http://www.creditinfocenter.com and read up on their instructions to repair your credit and dispute items on your report. Otherewise you are wasting time and money trying to do this.

Note to Yahoo Police: I am not associated with this siet. I offer it because they have excellent consumer information on credit repair. Get off my back!

You did good. Now, the ball is in their court. Most of the time if the account has been pasted around to different collection Agency one may not have the resources to get the information needed so you may not hear anything back from them.

But, if you do get something back from them get ready to pay something because, they can say they validated the debt, now you know about it and if you don't pay they can get a judgment against you.
