Could I make good money by buying games from ebay and then selling them for a higher price?

No. If it was that easy everybody would be doing it.
The way to make money reselling used stuff is to search out estate sales and other auctions where someone is selling a bunch of stuff that they don't know what it's value is. However, you'll end up spending as much time at that as you would any other 'real' job since auction buying and then reselling isn't something you just start doing and immediately do well at. It's a learned skill.

If they could sell for more, they why would the e-bay dealer sell to you for less?
