I know a few friends who do surveys in their spare time but do these things really work?
I do surveys in my spare time too. Only bad thing about them is that they don't pay much. It's still a great way to make a few extra dollars though.

depends on what you mean by "money" some sites will pay you but if you do the math you are working for pennies, there is always claim of make hundreds but I have yet to find one. There are always answers on her saying he/she makes hundreds, but if you had a job making hundreds filling out surveys would you really share it? They get money for referring people and is basically an MLM, try one if you want but track your time and you are probably better off getting a part time job or buying and selling on ebay for instance.
I think if you are really interested give it a shot, but beware of big money claims, if it is too good to be true....

However, even though they do work, you have to realize that you aren't going to be able to retire from your job filling out surveys. you'll likely only earn an extra $100 a month. But it adds up. even $100 turns out to be an extra $1200 a year. and I know a lot of people can use that!

Yeah, but its normally a few dollars for a survey that takes about 20 minutes to complete. I like NPD Research, they pay you in points instead of dollars and the points can be used to enter contests for money. Surveys are quick and you have a good chance of winning. You should try it.

Well they do work..for example cash crate is pretty reputable but the pay out is so high and you don't get very much for each survey.
