Do these things work or is it a trick??
These companies do something called "multi-level marketing." Basically, they get people like you to become independent distributors. You buy inventory and try to sell it to people, as well as try to recruit other distributors. It is called "multi-level" because you hope to get other distributors beneath you, then you get a small share of their profits - they in turn recruit other distributors and you get a piece of their profits too, and so on.
Frankly, your odds of success doing this are very, very, very low. Maybe 5% of distributors make any decent amount of money and well over half lose some or all of the money they invested in inventory.
Are you a super, amazing sales person? Do you have a ton of friends that you could sell stuff to or recruit as distributors? If not, don't get involved in these types of businesses.
By the way, the owners of Amway own the Orlando Magic NBA team. That tells you how much money THEY have made. Too bad their many low level distributors don't make any money.
I have heard of Amway. They are supposed to be a company that sells vitamins, cosmetics, cleaning products and a bunch of other stuff. Its sort of like selling Avon. You have to sell to customers. Then you make money from what you sell.
amway has been around for 40 years or more
