Am I right in thinking if I buy shares then sell those shares later in the day I Will be charged just one fee
Most firms do not currently apply such fee schedules to all their clients.
There are many firms who will apply the "round trip fee" to some of there more active and/or larger accounts. Usually this type of commission does not apply to the average account.
(The "round trip" commission is where one buys and sells the stock the same day.
No. 2 fees. One for buying and one for selling. Each transaction has a fee. I do believe there are some brokers that actually do not charge buying and selling fees. Bank America at one time did not with a few strings attached. Zecco is another that at one time did not again with a few strings attached.
