What should i wear to an interview for an insurance company (im a guy)?

easy 10 points

depends what insurance company haha..

A suit and tie. Make sure your tie matches your shirt (ie. the color of your shirt is also on your tie somewhere), and keep the tie simple like a solid color, simple geometric, or stripe. But for goodness sakes, do not wear a solid color tie that is the same color as the shirt.

Shined dress shoes. Some people can pull it off, but it's safest not to wear any kind of loafers. Black is usually an easy bet.

If you're going for bonus points, make sure your clothes fit you right. They shouldn't hang too much or be too tight. And practice looking comfortable in them. Nothing says "I've never done this before" more than the look of discomfort in a suit. Good luck.

Granted I'm low on the totem pole at my company, but all I wore were some slacks, an oxford dress shirt, and a yellow tie. Shave, brush your teeth, etc.

What's your position you're interviewing for? How would your boss dress? A rule of thumb for a lot of people is to simply match their potential future bosses attire.

Remember 1st impressions are killers and if you look awful, no matter how smart/experience you have, maybe automatically rejected based on your appearance.

Make sure you are clean shaven, hair neat and a suit/tie would be good.

good luck

A suit and tie with dark socks and shoes. A red tie is preferable with a light blue or white dress shirt.

Suit & tie.
