Book about finances?

I wish they taught about bills, insurance, credit/debit card, checks, banking, interests, loans, etc at our school, but they don't (except for a class called finance, but unfortunately I didn't have enough space for it in my schedule).

So, I was wondering, is there a book or something I can ge
t in order to learn more about finance and other things that will be useful for when I am older? (for the things listed at the top?)

Thanks in advance.

The best primer for personal finance is Personal Finance for Dummies. Don't be put off by the name "For Dummies" It is a publisher. This book is an excellent primer for personal finance.

After reading it, you can read books on specific subjects such as accounting, health and homeowners' insurance, investing, financial planning and banking, and so on.

The total money makeover by Dave Ramsey. It's all about common sense.
Actually you don't even need to buy the book. Just go to Daveramsey.com and listen to his radio show. Lots of great advice on money and debt. Doesn't cost a dime to listen to the radio.
